Outreach
Our outreach team works to create opportunities to better support our wider community. From our Stone Soup Kitchen, to different community fundraisers, to collections and donations – there are multiple ways for all to get involved. Check out our calendar of outreach opportunities, and the list of local organizations we strive to support. We welcome suggestions of new ways to get involved and engaged. Please email Elaine @ elvandoorn@gmail.com and/or Holly @ hollydevelter@gmail.com to get connected to our Outreach efforts.
Grief Groups
Please note that the Grief Groups at Norval United Church are on a temporary pause. As we restructure and recruit volunteers, we hope to offer groups again in 2026. We understand that navigating a bereavement is a difficult and sensitive time for anyone and we offer our sympathies to you.

Seniors’ Hymn Sing
Part of Norval United Church’s outreach ministry includes monthly visits to three senior’s residences to provide a hymn-sing and worship. We visit Mountainview Residence on the second Wednesday, Extendicare on the third Sunday and the Bennett Centre on the fourth Wednesday of each month. All services are at 2 o’clock in the afternoon.
The time spent with folks at these two facilities is a blessing; for us, for the residents who can communicate their appreciation, as well as those who are unable to speak or sing.
Anyone interested in helping lead or participate in bringing this important ministry to our local seniors would be most welcome to join us at any service. Contact the church office for more information.
Prayer Group
The prayer group meets every Sunday morning before our worship service between 9:15 and 9:45. Anyone is welcome to join in prayer for individuals, our church and the world.
If you have prayer requests you can send them toprayers@norvalunited.ca Contact Marilyn Smith at marilynasmith04@gmail.com or Jennifer Barnett at jdhb2002@yahoo.ca if you would like more information.
