Welcome to Family, Children and Youth Ministries at Norval UC! We offer programs and digital resources for kids, youth and families throughout the year. We hope that you find opportunities here to connect, explore and grow in faith with us!

Sunday Morning Kids Church: We offer a church experience for kids on Sunday mornings during our in person worship at 10 a.m. Children are invited to join our regular worship time, then go to their own church space for games, crafts and activities after our Theme Conversation. Caregivers can pick up their children after worship.

Sunday Morning Nursery Care: Staffed by youth, parents can bring children under 3 in the playroom anytime after 9:45 a.m. for some supervised playtime.

Mindful Moment Videos: We post a weekly short Mindful Moment video on YouTube and Facebook that explores a different theme and practice to help centre ourselves in our relationship with God, with ourselves and with others.

Faith@Home: A weekly e-newsletter with resources for the whole family is available by request. Email Jen Auger to be added to our subscription list.

Facebook Groups: Join our NUC Kids Church or our Online Youth Group Facebook groups for access to resources, ideas, and an opportunity to share how you are spending this time with others!

Family Events

Providing space to be family together is important to us. Family to us includes parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, neighbours and friends! When we connect together across generations we strengthen the support systems around our children and youth.

Family Movie Nights: A fun night out with the family – join us for a FREE movie night at the church. Meet new people and spend quality time with the young people in our lives. Third Fridays of each month, 6:30 p.m. Popcorn in free, occasionally extra snacks will be provided for donation by our youth.

Terry Fox Run: The annual Terry Fox Run has become a fall tradition in Canada, with more than 650 communities fundraising for cancer research. NUC is participating in the Georgetown event, and you can register as a member of our team, or support our team with a donation. This year’s event is Sunday September 18!

Stone Soup Sundays: Currently on hold. These special lunches invite us to bring what we have to share with one another. We gather after worship throughout the year to share a meal, run some themed activities, and build community together. Next Stone Soup Sunday is TBD.

Summer Camp Leadership Program

Every summer youth from Grade 7 and up are invited to join our leadership training through our summer camps program. This is a great opportunity for youth to develop skills, discover passions, and serve their community. Find more information here.
