Welcome to the Outreach Team
We support those in need in our local and broader community. Volunteers contribute 2–3 hours a month (no summer meetings) to help make a real difference.
Our 2025 theme is Food Insecurity. Through the Stone Soup Kitchen, we prepare over 80 servings of meat and vegetarian soups each month—plus summer side dishes—for Food for Life and the Georgetown Bread Basket. Volunteers from our congregation and community groups, like hockey teams, bring energy and compassion to this work, and recipients are grateful for the fresh, homemade food.
Other initiatives include the Links2Care Holiday Giving Program, poinsettias and cards for seniors, and fundraisers such as the Hike for Hospice, Coldest Night of the Year, and the Terry Fox Run. Our monthly Outreach 40 food collection also supports Food for Life.
