The UNITED 4 HOSPICE (U4H) team is made up of volunteers from the four Georgetown Area United Churches who are working together to assist the Townsend Smith Foundation (TSF) with its goal to build North Halton’s first hospice residence.  

The TSF is a hospice charity specific to North Halton and is raising funds to build a 10-bed community hospice in North Halton. The former site of Hillcrest United Church has been purchased by the TSF and will be the location of the hospice. Building the hospice is currently estimated to cost $25-30 Million.

For 2023-2024, our U4H team will be supporting the TSF by expanding awareness of the planned hospice and supporting two TSF events. The first event will be the annual Candlelight Ceremony to honour those who have gone before us and to express support for access to residential hospice palliative care in North Halton. This event will be held in October.
