Inner Peace and Calm

A Prayer

O God, when I feel crushed by my own worries,
Lift my mind and help me to see the truth.
When fear grips me tight and I feel I cannot move,
Free my heart and help me to take things one step at a time.
When I cannot express the turmoil inside,
Calm me with Your quiet words of love.
I choose to trust in You, each day, each hour, each moment of my life.
Hear my prayer, O God, slow me down, set me free, give me peace.

Like the trees of the forest
May the peace of God warm you
Like the sun in the sky
May the peace of God swell and roll over you
Like a wave in the sea
May the peace of God fill you
Like a cool and gentle breeze
