Labour Disruption Strike Day Activities

Some of you will know that in the past we have offered Strike Day Camp activities here at NUC. As there are potential continued labour disruptions ahead, we are putting plans in place again to try and offer some relief.
At this time, we have plans in place for:
Monday November 7th, 2022 and Wednesday November 9th, 2022 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Drop off can be as early as 8:45 a.m. Please pick up no later than 3:45 p.m.
We will add days as they are needed and as we are able. We are limited to when we have volunteers available.
The cost will be $25/day to help offer honorariums to volunteers and cover the cost of any craft or activity supplies.
Payment can be made by e-transfer or cash on the day of.
Please be sure to send a lunch and snack with your student.
We do not have devices for remote learning on site, but we do have great internet and I am happy to make space and time for remote learning should you wish to send a device with your student.
At this time, we are setting our maximum at 15 students. We will re-evaluate should there be a greater need, or we get more volunteers.
If you do not need this service, but know a friend or neighbour who needs support for their student, please share this information with them.
We are keeping our fingers crossed that a resolution will be coming shortly. But, should it not, we look forward to maybe connecting with you and hanging out together.
